Ingrid Gaier studied German language and literature, painting and graphic arts, textile/art and design at the University of Vienna, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the University of Artistic Design Linz and the Academy of Arts Maastricht, NL. Her career is marked by her numerous works and studies in different countries. The broad spectrum of her work ranges from drawing to textiles to animations. In addition to her artistic activities, her work as a teacher, writer and developer of ideas in the art context is both a complement and a source of inspiration.
